Turns out he voted for more than the allotted number of candidates for one of the categories. Brisk activity when I went to the Kennedy this afternoon. Honestly, had I not read about it on here I would not have known it was a special election day. I do not read the Enterprise nor did I see any signs.
It's going to really confuse people when we have a special election for State Senator on 10/6.

Except the special election isn't on 10/6, its in November...
We should advertise that democrats vote in october the rest in November... to minimize crowds...

It seems the vast majority of the Tagger people are anti-Carpenter people.

I just made it -10
I made it -5, because I agree, she seems very pleasent
But I really don't think Karma really matters here, people will vote you up or down for what you say, not how you say it!

Thank you. 1400+ Tagger votes being heavily recruited to Chris. Now they have to get those voters out to vote for someone else who is not their first choice. If the daily shootings keep occurring Carpenter will have an issue. No Casino, questionable purchase of Aquaria and a lot of people AGAINST the Power Plant, could be a very close election. Chris needs to be very prepared though and a little more polished. He at least has the experience. There was a lot of Social Media against Tagger. It might've backfired. Carpenter could have most likely beat Tagger, with MacMillan not so sure.

I don't know if "polished" is necessary. I would rather see the "scratches" than mask them with polish. I believe we need someone different even if only to shake things up. While I agree that two years is a short period of time to facilitate drastic changes, I see a city that is continuing in a bad direction. I never liked the negativity that surrounded Carpenter, but I voted for him the first time around, willing to give him a chance. I am not happy with what I see. I am ready for someone who speaks the truth and is willing to look at our troubles with a new set of eyes.

MacMillan comes off very angry. I was reading his platform on his page. I like this one: "Special interest groups and those working for and being paid by them should have no place in city politics".
Except a special interest group has been leading the CC against the power plant. And one of them works for the City in the Water Commission. This was happening when Chris was a Councilman.
Or this: "Thousands of dollars have been, and continue to be, spent on unnecessary lawsuits"
But in the same breath wants to continue litigation on the power plant funded by the tax payer.
This: "I had a significant impact in attracting several businesses to bring their corporate headquarters to Brockton, including Northeast Electrical Supply and Crown Uniform and Linen. These additions along with Market Basket brought over 600 jobs to the Ward 7 community"
In all fairness, yes he did bring in two businesses that may have hired 600 people. The third business he brought in was Crown Linen and they did not hire 1 single person from Brockton. They said they wouldn't and that they were pulling from other locations to staff this one. NE Electrical is occupying a building, no new construction so no construction jobs. I give him MB, that's a lot of jobs but most all were HS kids. Managers they pulled form other locations as well.
Regarding the Aquaria: "My intent would be to renegotiate a new contract that is more beneficial to our city’s interests. The new agreement would be directed towards only paying when the plant is used by the city."
Not sure how this will work. We don't use a lot of water from the aquaria to begin with. I doubt very much that he will renegotiate the contract. We are the sole customer of Aquaria, I doubt very much they will roll over for this.

Chris already asked everyone to give it a couple of days and he'd have everything updated and he would explain In more detail his platform.
In between running he had surgery and is recovering from that. You should also go to www.sparkthenews.com . They're publishing lots of unbiased information.
MacMillan emphasized that his number one priority is reducing crime in the city. He said he will rely on the expertise of the leaders in the police department instead of “micromanaging” them. “These guys and women have been in the trenches for a long time. They know how to counter any of this. I’m not going to tell them what to do -- I’m going to ask them what they want to do and then I’m going give them the tools to make that successful.”
MacMillan said his number two priority going forward is to “reduce the excessive spending in the city…and make sure the residents’ taxpayer dollars are spent wisely.” In the coming weeks, MacMillan said he and his campaign will be announcing plans for tackling these priorities.
“I’m here for the city and the residents. I don’t have any agenda but that.”
