MA POLS VOTE THEMSELVES MASSIVE PAY RAISE
The article speaks for itself.
Cassidy, Cronin and Dubois all voted for. Nine Democrats joined with all 35 Republican members of the House in opposing the bill, including Reps. Denise Provost, Jonathan Hecht, James Dwyer, Colleen Garry, Diana DiZoglio, Thomas Calter, Paul Heroux, Jonathan Zlotnik, and freshman Michael Connolly. Baker may veto but don't believe he has the numbers to avoid an override.

I’ll certainly take note of all who are in favor and won’t forget who they are.
Massachusetts is as crooked as they come. Not one solitary sole is worth that amount of a raise. Everyone is highly disturbed by this.
I’m onto their shrewd madness though. They figure if they shock us with such an outrageous amount, they will receive what they really wanted to begin with and that will make us feel better, BS!

Heck, this just gives some politicians more drinking money!! Support our local bars! Oh for emails, don't bother sending to Mike Brady, even his aides, he has something like 4 of them and they don't respond. DO YOUR JOB and Lets get Term Limits for these type of clowns.

Of course there are the bestowed favors that get the votes.
I believe EVERYONE in politics, regardless of position should all have limited terms. it will certainly make a difference and break up the good ole boys club.

While I cannot refuse the money I can take the additional from the paychecks (net) and give this back in donations
I cannot justify this increase if we are laying off teachers and support staff

Perhaps if the City of Brockton didn't just lose the largest suit in its history we'd be able to afford teachers. While this was a discrimination suit that the Mayor claims was really under Balzotti, I believe a lot of this mess is more Nepotism based. Hey, remember Carpenter's first campaign promise, No Nepotism in his Administration? Haha. Just because you hire a minority candidate, doesn't mean it wasn't Nepotism hire as well. Too bad there won't be a strong Mayoral race, he would be vulnerable.

"Brockton does not have insurance covering civil rights lawsuits, and the verdict could end up costing the city $6.5 million due to interest, since the case was filed in 2013, the mayor said. "My obligations are to all the folks who live in the city, including the taxpayers, to look at what the potential impact on the city budget would be if we had to pay the full $6.5 million, and to explore what all of our legal options are because obviously there's been a decision by the jury," Carpenter said. "But that doesn't mean there aren't additional legal options open to the city."
"Carpenter said that absorbing the $6.5 million loss would wipe out the reserves account in the city budget. The law would require the city to implement a tax increase to replenish the reserves within a year, Carpenter said."

Why should tax payers have to suffer for their mistakes?
When I make a mistake I eat it. They make as many mistakes as they want because they know they can throw it at us and we have to eat it.

I'll surely lose my house, because I'm barely swinging it now due to the last increase. I'm paying a hundred dollars more per month that I don't even have now.
