Though I no longer live in Brockton, I had this conversation with a fried a couple of weeks ago. He was happy that the tax rate dropped (by some really small trivial value like 3 cents per thousand), but I pointed out to him that property values increased by somewhere around 8%. So I believe you are getting about an 8% increase but it depends on what happens to your assessment.

Brockton does not send a copy of the bill to your address? Our bill is also paid by the bank, but a copy gets sent to the house as well.

Light Travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak. <br />We were born with two ears and only one mouth ... Think about it!

I have my taxes and insur. taken out by the bank, but still get a statement sent to my house also.

Just got a statement today. It wasn’t bad - I expected it. And the thing now is we just paid off our Mortgage (yay) off so now have to be more cognizant as we have to pay direct now. Assessment up but we did a basement over creating a liveable room. I know no one wants to pay more but some of the more “affluent” towns property bills - wow.

Congratulations on paying off your mortgage! Whoopee!
I know of NOTHING going down in price. I'd fall over. Lol.
Everyone is hurting, but the elderly on fixed income is sad. Medical went sky rocket high. I understand meat, eggs and dairy are going way up. What's left in the food department? Ha!
With this cold spell, gas is going to increase drastically because of a claimed shortage.
Happy New Year, huh?
