Light bulb just went off.....If there are now 2 trucks, (recycle and trash) that would eliminate
workers, because the new truck will be picking up both recycle and trash.

If we all sang the same note in the choir, We'd never have harmony

In thinking about this, the other towns I pass that have this system never have furniture at their curbs.

You'll still be able to put bulk items out following the same guidelines as are currently in place.

There will be small challenges but this is a good thing for Brockton.

The lids are hinged in the back (which is why you want the back to the "curb")

You can't fix stupid.

There would be 2 trucks, one goes to the landfill and the other to the recycling facility.

Not sure if Brockton would follow suit but here we have trash every week, recycling every other week, which saves money.

Ahh - makes sense, Dennis. Thanks. I can't help but wonder what will happen in a city where many will not follow directions. Hinged cover to the rear - this will be interesting! Not sure I like the idea of two weeks recycling, but with a barrel the size of Rhode Island I suppose it makes sense.

Brockton will stay on the every week schedule. 1 Recycle container, 1 trash container, bulk item following the current guidelines and your grass cuttings separate.
