One day after four people were arrested when several fights broke out at Brockton High School, there has been more brawling between students Friday morning. Several students have taken to social media saying there has been fighting on school buses and inside and outside the school.A city official said two people have been taken into custody so far Friday. Former mayoral candidate and city activist Jacob Tagger posted on Facebook: "More fighting at BHS this morning, parents make sure you call and make sure your children are safe."
Brockton School Committee Vice-Chair Thomas Minichiello told The Enterprise Friday morning that he spoke with Superintendent Kathy Smith earlier today who confirmed there has been more fighting. "I'm very surprised and very concerned about what's going on," Minichiello said. "They've put in place more manpower up there. They're trying to figure out what seems to be going on, if there's a certain group of kids coordinating these fights. Police are involved and if necessary will be making arrests. We are not going to tolerate an environment like this."
The fighting comes on the heels of Brockton High School being ranked Level 1, the highest-level performance, in this year's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education accountability report, which was released Monday. "It's unfortunate that this is happening after the school receiving Level 1 status. You have a high school that has 4000 kids, a vast majority are super kids and you have a very, very small group of kids who are causing this unacceptable chaos," Minichiello said.

We have created an atmosphere of potential chaos putting our students, teachers and staff in an unsafe situation.
We need to enforce discipline get the 3% under control.
As for parents calling I would not recommend this as this ties up lines and staff to answer phones and creates a more dangerous situation. We also don't want parents roaming around school grounds and this could also create a potential issue

When teachers fear for life because of parents, my neice had to quit her teaching job in Hanson because this women was threatening her and the police and school did nothing. So where does Brockton HIgh and the School Commitee stand on this. Its time for a change and I mean a big change.
