If we all sang the same note in the choir, We'd never have harmony

I use Verizon.net fOutlook 2013 or e-mail who dumped us to AOL. Now AOL sent notices that we have until Nov 7th to make proper changes or we lose all of our email account including our address book. YIKES!
From AOL....As a reminder, we’re asking that you check your settings and update with the AOL supported configuration settings by November 7, 2017.
If your POP3 protocol settings already reflect the following, then you do not need to do anything.
Incoming POP3 server: pop.verizon.net
Port: 995
SSL: Yes
Outgoing SMTP server: smtp.verizon.net
Port: 465
SSL: Yes
This exactly what I have
Now I also need to know how to make a copy of my e-mail address book. I‘ve tried everything and failed.

Whoopee!! The old lady succeeded in exporting her address book into Excel. WHEW!
The only thing I can’t do is separate the names from the addresses. It came out as a running
line.
Now all I have to do is cross my fingers, toes and eyes and hope I still have a working e-mail account come Nov. 7th

Not at all, Dave. It's how they\re going about it. No help from Verizon who dumped us and no help from AOL.
It's been said AOL is playing trickery to get people to pay for their service. I wouldn't doubt it.
There is no contact number either.
I just hope i did everything right. Others are in a worse bind than me from what I heard in a blog about it.

Capt,
Since they forced you into AOL be aware that, on occasion, my MSN mail (Hotmail) has some kind of conflict with AOL, which is often unable to penetrate. My friends who use AOL must contact me through my Comcast e-mail if they want to be guaranteed that I receive it. I hate AOL. If your address book contains folks who use the MSN products, you should be aware of this. Good luck.

Thanks, CH. So far so good. I never worked so hard at anything, lol.
What I think happened was Verizon couldn't keep up with e-mail
problems and literally dumped everyone, yet we were paying for it
through the internet service, which included e-mail.
I have DSL because i can;t afford anything more. I struggle everyday
with snail pace because they cam't provide anything faster even though
I'm paying, so I'm stuck.
After this episode I strongly suggest everyone to make a copy of their
address book. Ya never know.
