Mayoral Elections
I do blame him in the Nepotism/Favoritism. He ran on no favoritism and transparency. He alone hired a son of a campaign manager and the husband of a sitting CC in the BOH. I thought the whole Hayden issue was a debacle. We are now paying two Chief of Police. We are paying about $1 million in payroll at the Library. We are now are paying $100k to a Director of Library who is on Paid Administrative Leave and no one knows why. He accepted campaign contributions from Carney two months from putting a Casino vote. Maybe legal but questionable ethics? The whole AMR Ambulance contract just doesn't feel right.

on another note... I saw "Stop the Power" promoting Jacob... I can see where this is going.

Let's hope the PP issue is resolved before the election.

I want someone who will look into the corruption and DO something about it
Heck, we don't even know what happened with Jim Casieri. There is a lot of greasy palms there and we need investigation and action. The Enterprise is in Bill's back pocket.
We need someone new

My interest in the school committee. I truly love what I do. This is a passion for me. I Have been fighting commonwealth charters from draining off millions from our district, I have been lobbying our state delegation for more funding and I have been outspoken on less testing and more teaching
Only vote to stay with MCAS, only a few to even question high stakes testing such as teaching strategies gold and I am this week going to the statehouse to testify against high stakes testing and the unfunded mandates that the state places on us especially in technology needs
I am also on the board of directors for Brockton Day Nursery which is 120 years old. Was just elected treasurer.
I am committed to our special needs population in the school system and frequently donate my time and money to all sorts of causes with children.
I am not interested in just shining a seat like my opponent, I am not interested in using this as a springboard like my opponent and I don't think our kids should be second place like opponent
If I was to ever consider running for any office later and much later down the line it would be in a role where I could continue to advocate for our schools.
I also believe in term limits. 3 terms for me. That's it.
I have been a vocal supporter of our teachers and am not afraid of taking stances against my party to do what's right for our kids.

AMR, the corporation let down its workers. We have a new sheriff in town..Mayor Carpenter put the service out to bid, IMO, AMR thought they would walk back in. The mayor is looking for cost savings.
Our schools are great, but it's share hurts way too much our public safety. Dad, I remember no tax increase his first budget. Took flack for that too! Can't win in politics sometimes. I have never seen a Mayor with as much exposure as him and touting the city in such a positive way, gives me a glimmer of hope, which was just about gone.
