No fault to winter plowing, but where are we going to get the money to repair all of the damage? They
literally tore up the entire side street where I live down to bare ground. They never compensated m e
for lawn repairs of a few hundred dollars from previous a year. Another year they did a slop job and
and planted crab grass which took over my entire lawn. Why am I paying taxes?
Get rid of the slums and slime and maybe Brockton has a chance. If this isn't done it'll be more of
he same and that is't much to brag about. The people who can afford, booze, cig's and drugs
shouldn't be on welfare to begin with. Why not put them to work cleaning up the city in their idle time?
They aren't doing anything all day, everyday anyhow.
The CC should be working on such a worthwhile project!

Bridgewater Town Charter Commission:
The committee is recommending amending the charter to provide a stipend to councilors of $3,000 a year. Councilors currently receive NO monetary compensation for their service.
I guess the Bridgewater Councilors don't work as hard as those in Brockton.

In 2013, no city employees made $200,000. That year 353 workers made at least $100,000, compared to 506 in 2014.
Former police chief Emanuel Gomes topped the list last year, earning a quarter of a million dollars. Gomes took home both his captain's salary and money owed to him from his police chief contract after Mayor Bill Carpenter installed Robert Hayden in his place early last year. Gomes is currently a daytime patrol supervisor.
Carpenter encouraged residents to look at the numbers in context. In many cases the earnings are not salaries, he said, but rather represent overtime, back pay and other money.
"It’s a lot of money, no doubt about it," Carpenter said. "In terms of public safety, the numbers are skewed this year. Some of those numbers are clearly nowhere near what the person’s salary is. They are artificially inflated due to multiple years of retroactive payments they were owed."

The measure was up for a final vote by the council Monday night, but Ward 2 Councilor Thomas Monahan motioned to table it, Council President Dennis Eaniri said.
Councilors voted 6-5 in favor of that motion, Eaniri said. There is no set date for the measure to be brought back for a vote, but that could happen AT ANY TIME IF A COUNCILOR TAKES ACTION.
Councillors who voted Against Tabling the request :
Asack, Barnes, Cruise, Rodrigues, Stewart
You'll note 3 of the 5 have not yet completed a full term before they believe they should get a raise. When's the last time anyone worked Less than 2 years and got a 50% raise? Remember that at the next election.
Kudos to those who voted for tabling this ridiculous raise request (my opinion)
DeNapoli, DuBois, Eaniri, Monahan, Studenski, Sullivan
Kudos to Tom Monahan for Introducing the initial Vote to table the request for increase.
