A preliminary election will be held in the mayoral race to winnow four candidates to two.
Contenders include incumbent Bill Carpenter, Christopher H. Hopgood Sr., former city councilor Christopher MacMillan and Jacob L. Tagger Jr.

I'm sorry but Noonan is a tit head. I met him years ago at a Halloween party. He was an idiot then and he's an idiot now. He's not even funny for Christ's sake. Plus he's an STP supporter. I probably would have let him slide on the other shit but supporting the STP? No frigging way!

I am thinking checks and balances of a city council and mayor who all possess the same, uhm, mundane thinking, will not inspire change.
I thought the incumbent stayed out of the Primaries. It doesn't make sense to have an incumbent debate. He has already run the gauntlet, has the experience of being Mayor and has more insight into what really goes on behind the curtain. I thought the primaries were to whittle down the other candidates amongst themselves.

Two highest vote getters go to the Primary. Depends on what MacMillan does. And I know some don't think Tagger has a chance but don't underestimate an underdog. And lot of people aren't aren't happy with Carpenter, whether it be Casino, Power Plant, Ambulance issue etc. and it's only about 7 weeks to the Primary, so Crime/shootings better go down or Carpenter May never get out of the Primary.
Macmillan hasn't really been putting himself out there, barely any type of effort. That's why he lost the last time. I think Tagger is losing steam. You can only promise things so many times before you have to explain how you intend to do it. He's reached that point. There is a poll on the HUB, not a very good one because you can vote multiple times, or you could, I tried again but could not. But even if you could it shows Carpenter at almost 59%, Tagger at 39% and Macmillan at 2%, Hopgood is not even on the board. So assuming that Taggers followers would vote multiple times, his percentage would sky rocket. But its just not there.

How do you come to the conclusion that MacMillan hasn't put himself out there? Do you base that On an Internet poll that added him after the fact?

Jacob chimed in and told me he would not allow that to happen. In all fairness I believe Jacob is sincere. I'm sure Jacob will be calling me today. LOL!
I read that Lary Boyd said in his own words, that he has never deleted any Pro Carpenter posts. He also said he felt that he has gone out of his way to ensure that he had not been biased for/against any Candidate. So much so, he was considering stepping away from his Administrator post for the duration of the Campaign.

He didn't. I made an assumption when I noticed the drop in Carpenter Campaign posts. I was wrong and apologized to Lary, and Jacob, who reamed me a new one, LOL!
But he (Lary) did make a snide remark about the "Carpenter Propaganda" which kinda led me to believe that the posts were deleted. Anyway, it may be a good thing for him to step away but I can't imagine he is the only Mod, so I hope he informs his people that there will be none of that.

Mayor Carpenter came in and made the city money by selling off abandoned property making millions of dollars and putting these property's back on the books.
I will not vote for someone being backed by STP or will I vote for someone that was part of the problem for years.
We finally have a Mayor who is doing things and trying things and not just raising the taxes every year by 2.5 % and doing absolutely nothing else.
