They don't charge up front, they do everything and they will take care of it for 30 years.
I'm wondering what people thoughts were on the subject. Any scientific evidence for or against?

Sounds like great savings, but how long would it take to pay it off? BTW, they get their source from the electric Co.so if rates go up, so don't yours and you have to have a generator for those extra cloudy days.

But how much did you pay NRG compared to what you previously paid Nat Grid/Nstar?

I had an appointment to have someone look at the possibility of panels, but they said they looked on google maps and I got too much shade.

HALIFAX - A new solar project in Halifax is slated to provide Brockton with a green energy source that will also help the city cut energy costs.
Boston law firm Sherin and Lodgen LLP recently announced that its Solar Energy Practice Group helped Boston Private Bank and Trust Company secure the $6.8 million loan needed to get the project underway.
“Sherin and Lodgen’s deep understanding of the solar space creates a collaborative atmosphere that benefits all parties to a transaction,” said Dan Poydenis, Managing Director and General Counsel of NuGen Capital, the owner of the project.
The electricity generated by the virtually net metered 3.106 megawatt solar project will be sold to Brockton pursuant to a power purchase agreement with investor and owner, NuGen Capital.

Although New England residents already pay for electricity at a higher average rate than the rest of the contiguous United States, issues with the regional capacity and energy markets may continue the upward pricing spiral for the next several years.
ISO New England Inc., the independent system operator for the region’s power market, held its ninth Forward Capacity Market auction in February to plan ahead for power demand and generation. The annual auctions are used to set pricing and obligations for New England energy generators three years in advance of when they will be needed; ISO New England’s FCA 9, held Feb. 2-4 this year, issued results affecting the period from June 1, 2018, through May 31, 2019.
