If we all sang the same note in the choir, We'd never have harmony

Rest in peace
The shut down of the Registry for a few days for upgrading sure
paid off for me.
I sold my truck and never had to leave my house. Did everything
on line including canceling my insurance. Being without wheels
made it that more appreciated.

Last time I had to go to the registry, I went to Taunton because the Brockton wait times were all in the 2 hour range.

I used AAA multiple times instead of the RMV and there is never a line. If I go to Brockton, I check the wait online first. People wait in their cars to get in when they open, makes no sense. I think the new way they queue people seems longer than the old way. Taunton is a good option.

Not sure what you mean, Capt. They remodeled it, added seating. I work near Braintree and nobody will go to that office. They always choose Brockton, so it is popular. I would say Brockton is keeping up, but just has high volume. For me, AAA is open on the weekend and if doing a simple transaction, it is fast and easy. The RMV appears to queue you according to your type of transaction, so I get the impression that, for example, if you are renewing a registration, you are not waiting behind people who are doing longer transactions. I could be wrong. Because of all the upgrades, I am not sure why people feel the need to wait in their cars when that door first opens.

What I meant by keeping up with others, I meant moving the lines faster.
With all of the updates, remodeling, etc. I thought that would include faster service. I have no complaints myself, because as I said, i was able to conduct all of my business via computer and was thrilled.

I think a lot of it depends on your transaction because, it appears that they still queue you according to what you are doing. The best thing I ever did was forget something once. They gave me a "head of the line" coupon for when I returned.
